Wachovia Complex – Wachovia Center and Spectrum. Home to the Philadelphia Flyers hockey team and the 76ers basketball team, the 20,000 seat Wachovia Center was opened in 1996 and also offers a wide range of concerts and entertainment from popular entertainers like Ray Charles, Rod Stewart, Justin Timberlake, Blue Man Group, and Dancing with the Stars. Pennsylvania Convention Center. Located in the heart of downtown Philadelphia, this state-of-the-art convention facility combines modern features with magnificent historical architecture. Philadelphia Naval Shipyard. Located on League Island in the Deleware River, the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard is the first naval shipyard in the United States. In active use from 1801 to 1995, famous ships built at the shipyard include the USS Indiana, commissioned in 1895; the USS New Jersey, and the USS Wisconsin, commissioned in 1941. www.navyyard.org

Independence Hall. Constructed between 1732 and 1756 as the State House of the Province of Pennsylvania, Independence Hall was the meeting place for the Second Continental Congress, where the Declaration of Independence was adopted, the design of the American flag was agreed upon, and where the U.
